The BBA Programme

The Bachelor of Business Administration is a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration. The degree is designed to give a broad knowledge of the functional areas of a company, and their interconnection. The degree also develops the student's practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability. Many programs thus incorporate training and practical experience, in the form of case projects, presentations, internships, industrial visits, and interaction with experts from the industry.

The MBA Programme

This is a two-year full -time residential programme follows trimester system. The first year consists of course courses. The second year consists of a few core courses and several elective courses. A summer project is scheduled at the end of the first year. The programme offers dual specializations.

Programme Structure

  • Duration : 2 Years (Six terms, duration of 10 to 12 weeks per term)

The main pedagogical methods are lectures, case study and project work, These are supplemented and complemented by role-pays, simulations, syndicate discussions, etc. The actual mix varies with the nature of a course.

No student shall be deemed to have a regular course of study for MBA degree examination unless he/she attends at least 70% of the lectures delivered in each year in theory as well as in practical training, counted upto the last date of classes.

Ragging in educational institutions is banned. Therefore, anyone including in ragging is liable to be punished accordingly.
Punishment may include expulsion/suspension from the institute or classes for a limited period and fine with public apology.

The department of Training and Placement, the marketing division of the institute has these following functions and responsibilities:

  • Nurtures Industry Institute interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits, implant training and projects of industrial relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the hiatus between the industry and the academia.
